You can now allow members to directly attach files to message board posts.

When posting a new topic members can select the file browse button under the attach file section to upload a file from their computer. The file will be available as a download when viewing the post.

Only specific files types of files are allows including PDF, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Text, Image, and Html type files are allowed.

In the admin area > features tab > add/remove features link set the option for allowing profile uploads to yes to enable the message board attach file section.
